DJ & I had our last days at work. I think we were both surprised how much emotion came with that transition.
2. We closed on the house. Wahooo!
3. We moved.
Too many boxes were packed…way more than we expected. Which means we have a few more items to sell, donate, and consume.
We welcomed a surprise guest – our elf got special permission from Santa to give us a send off. Here she is driving the Roomba.
The only thing we broke, so far, has been a few eggs…and I’m not sure why we tried to transport those anyway.
The girls were troopers & kept their smiles from start to finish. But, wow was it HOT! Really, really, really hot.
We arrived in time to celebrate my mom’s birthday on Sunday.
I’m not sure if we could have squeezed in another thing…oh wait, the girls had 3 playdates this week, too. Thank you for the invitations, sweet friends. You made their week much more fun!!
Through it all this poem has been on my heart. We’re in this
season practicing how to let go. So even though I totally see the irony of
sharing it publicly, it begs to be shared. More on this next week.

Thank you, Janie. It’s one of my favorites – aspirational & humorous all in one.

I LOVE YOU! Sometimes we have to choose to let go every morning, and that’s okay, too!

Right on… how can it be such a struggle & such a joy to let go!?

Martha, you are an excellent writer! Enjoying your blog and still haven’t walked over to meet our new neighbors. So bad!

Aww thanks! So glad you’re enjoying it. We met them briefly at closing – they seemed amiable 😉
